Scratches on golf clubhead

I have a new club that I let a customer try out on the range. I had the head taped (to maintain the newness), but they still made a few minor scratches on the face and top of the club (looks like a divot that caused the ball to pop up a bit). I have tried some steel wool to see what could be done, but the scratches appear to be too deep. Any ideas on what to do to fix this problem? I want to still be able to sell the club as new (becuase it is), but those scratches don't help.

If you're a 'pro', then you know the mfg rep who can probably have the club refinished club for you.

If the above is not the case, then you probably have a permanent demo, or a used club.

I almost bought a Callaway C4 I was trying out once. Broke the shaft on a $400 club. Our Pro charged me $45 to have the mfg do a re-shaft. Sounded better than the sticker!!!
