Question How to replace cushions on billiard table

I'm trying to replace the cushions on our pool table but I'm not sure how to place them. The new ones are different from the old ones that I took off. The new ones are shaped like a rubber V and have the facing on one side of the V to glue to the board. My problem is which way does the V go? Should the opening of the V be at the top of the table or should it go down, like an upside down V? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hold the rubber up on the rail and place a ball against it. Believe the edge should hit about center of the ball. Should be able to check with one of the old rubbers. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply

We were so dumb about doing this job that we had to turn it over to someone who knew what they were doing. We hired someone because we were afraid this wasn't a 'do it yourself job' for us! It all looked very easy after watching him do it.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I have started things and ended up turning them over too. Somethings just need a Pro to do. Worst part is that since it looked so easy watching the Pro the first time, I tried it the next time and had to call again to get it finished. If you do something everyday it gets where it IS easy FOR YOU.
