Anyone Notice The Olympics Are On?

I've been watching mostly curling (got hooked in 06) but the men's hockey tonight, USA vs Canada, that was quite a game.

Haven't heard the shots on goal but I'm sure the Canadians had a huge edge yet we won. Very exciting.

Think the Canucks had something like 45 shots on goal. Bob Costas was saying he expected front page headlines of the defeat in Canadian papers. Loved the piece they did on the 30 year anniversary of the Miracle on Ice.

I cannot beleive that game did not get the prime NBC channel spot. I now it was not a medal game but it was Canada vs USA. That's got to be worth a prime channel and certainly better than ice dancing.

USA vs Canada in women's hockey in an hour. This should be some exciting hockey. I hope so anyway.

I'll guess USA 3 Canada 2

I planned my day to make sure I'd be home in time to watch the womens hockey USA vs Canada game. I was not prepared for a shutout. It was a good game that would have been better had the US women scored 3.

Yeah, that was a bummer. Looked to me like Canada just out hustled them most of the time.

Not sure it's fair to sneak in a goalie the size of Hoss Cartwright though.

I was watching the Canada vs Sweden womens curling final and I notice some electronic box attached to a couple of the brooms and I cannot figure out what they are. Anyone know?

The Canada vs USA was on television. I watched the whole thing on NBC. I have watched almost every event in the Olympics. All the afternoon sessions, evening sessions, and even some of the midnight sessions. Great stuff

Heat sensor? (Just a guess, before somebody gives the answer.)

Second guess: A pedometer-like device that measures how many back and forth motions the broom takes.

Third guess: A camera

I loved the men's Canada vs Norway. I have several friends in Norway. It will be so much fun giving them @#$% for the next four years that a North American team owns the ice. Now I'm watching the men's Finland Slovakia hockey game and I can not wait for the gold medal game.

As to the curling question.....I think it may be a stopwatch. Wiki mentions it is sometimes used to help in determining the speed of the stone. How? I don't have a clue...lol

Thanks. I looked at a couple curling stores online and did not see that timer. I did not think a timer would be needed since they had big ones behind the teams but I guess having one on the broom means you don't even have to look up.
