He had a Super Bowl year last year. If his body can get ready in time, I hope he plays again. Maybe this year he can win the coin toss in overtime.

Me too!! Love him or hate him he sure can make things interesting.

I think the arm is still there, it's just the other parts that are gettin' a bit creaky. I can't imagine what it would feel like to have a 350# guy driving you into the ground and then get up after it.

I am the one who should be saying that!, seeing he jumped ship (er, did he retire?, I can't remember) from Green Bay. Oh well, we all know that athletes in all sports move around. It's a business. Not much loyalty out there any more. Although, Green Bay's Donald Driver hopes with his new 2-year contract extension to retire a Packer.

I can't imagine how even a 22 year old would like that.

If I had to bet one way or the other, I would say he will return as a quarterback or even as a coach/consultant.

That is based that he is dealing with friends that he wanted to play with 3 years ago before Green Bay was able to clean house and get him out of the division for a year while he reluctantly played in a different division until he "retired" from the Jets.

Maybe a $13 million second year contract (plus a new bonus) will let him get his old pick-up washed.

I could be wrong, but that is just my opinion.

That's all we can go on, I guess, at this time, is our opinions.

I guess Green Bay was to play an exhibition game today, but do not know who against. I wouldn't have even thought about it hadn't this renter tenant of ours from EC told me he was going to the game today. I have no idea if they won or lost (yet).

IMO, I think preseason is a waste. And I am puzzled at the human race for wanting to pay to watch a game that does not count, nor able to watch their favorite stars play the whole game.

Did Minnesota play or tomorrow, Dick?

Minnesota is currently playing now and beating the St. Louis Rams (28 to 7, but may change) and are down to using a 4th string rookie "quarterback" (great athelete) that was recently drafted as a a defensive back/line backer, but could be developed with the right coaching from Paul Childress (and others) as a real QB in a year or two. - The number 3 QB was put on display for trading purposes. I don't understand the number 2 QB situation (after Farve), but since Childress tutored Brett many years ago when Bret was starting, he may see things in a low profile way. Childress still likes the number 2 QB.

Everything will have to wait a few weeks until Brett and Paul sort things out, but the TV people keep trying to speed up things.

Trivia question - Where did the Rams actually originate? Maybe more interesting than the Farve soap box opera created by commentators.

And how about those Twinkies last night? Sox pitcher didn't even watch the ball, he knew it was going half-way to Chicago.

After he was Shanghied in Mississippi by his team-mates (jet provided by the team), the odds in Las Vegas went from 11:1 down to 5:1 for the Superbowl, but they will come back into something more reasonable and realistic.

I hope the old man takes it easy and continues to work with all the team members (offense and defense) when he is on the bench.

In the mind of Bill Gates? (Get it?)

I'd say Los Angeles, but that is too easy. Since you are asking the question and are into Minnesota stuff, I will go with some city in Minnesota. I'm right, ain't I?

ecman -

As long as you referred to the Rams, They were originally the Cleveland Rams and that was moved to LA and then later to St. Louis.

To continue, where did the Arizona Cardinals originally come from? - Hint is that some great early players on one team were "Curly" Lambeau (a small field in Wisconsin is named after him) and Jim Thorpe. The team has had a number of different "homes".

Without cheating - I have no idea. If I loaded my mind up with too much trivia, I might not be able to fit all the stuff I have learned about fixing things.
