Welcome to the forums! When used outdoors, most all the pivot points and joints will rust. WD40 is a water displacement product, not primarily used for lubrication (hence WD= Water Displacement formula 40) Look at the store for a product similar to PB Blaster. It comes in penetrating, lubricating, etc. You will probably need the lubricating type. If they have white lithium, get that. Spray it on all the joints. Keep us posted how it goes and good luck.
