Which termite treatment is best?

Hoping to get some useful advice on this....

I need to have my home inspected and treated for termites. I was maintaining a contract with a company but am not happy with their service. My question is which is the better type of treatment...getting the home sprayed and drilled or going the sentricon bait route?

My home is a split level with a crawlspace and my very downstairs rooms are built on a slab. I was thinking that if I went the bait route, that only protects me on the outside. They cant install baits on the inside of my home around the crawlspace and slab right?

I appreciate any advice on the matter and also what the $$$$ difference is of each type of treatment.

Regards,

Bubba

With a liquid termiticide the perimeter of the foundation or slab is trenched and drilled then treated. The goal of the treatment is to put a chemical barrier between the termites in the soil and the structure above. Protectioin is immediate tends to cost less than baiting systems.

There is no guarantee that termites will find bait stations and no way to encourage them into stations. Baiting systems tend to be more expensive than barrier treatments because of monthly inspections. Baiting systems should never be used alone to protect your home because they provide no direct protection.
