Termite treatment

What is the best way to treat termites? There are no tunnels on the exterior of the house...and the termites are in one wall in the garage that was behind free-standing cabinets. When we pushed on the baseboards we put holes in them! Anyone recommend Terminix, etc?

We used the Terminix bait stations after 2 yrs of the chemical treatments. It was cheaper, and we didn't pump chemicals into the ground when not needed. After about one season...we had no more swarmers.

I assume we are talking about subterranean termites; in that case if you chose a soil treatment, I highly reccommend Termidor as a soil treatment, whether DIY or Pro’s.

I have no experience with baiting, although it is an accepted treatment and can be DIY as well.

I would go with Termidor, I had the local pest company come out and treat around my house (I had an active swarm last year) and ever since we have not seen any reoccurrence of swarms, or anymore damage to my house.
