Ant or termite?
Hi, all --
I'd like some independent opinions before calling the exterminator.
I think it's an ant. Pretty sure I see a pinched waste (of an ant). But the antennae are supposed to be "elbowed".

It’s not an ant. The wings look like a termite swarmer, but some other aspects don’t look like termite. More info, if you could please:
1) Was there a lot of them or just a few? When termites swarm there are hundreds if not a thousand all at once. If outdoors they will drift away, but if indoors you will find them in the swarming area.
2) Did their wings fall off while they were still alive?
They may be a type of small, parasitic wasp. Search internet for parasitic wasp photos. Take specimens to your local agricultural extension agent for objective info. Keep us posted.
