HOw deep to drill patio do you need?

HOw deep to drill patio do you need for the perimeter? I did 14in, is it enough?

I agree. I spender a lot of energy doing it. And company should not charge that much to do it.

If you see soil on the drill bit, then you are probably deep enough. Here in the very old town that we work in we will sometimes hit red bricks, previous patio/sidewalks, etc from 50 to 150 years ago buried under what we thought was just a simple slab. We have to learn to “read” the material on the drill bit and judge by the feel of drilling. When you treat the holes you will know if deep enough. Some holes just won’t take the treatment nearly as well as others-that happens to all of us. Us pros typically have application equipment that seals the holes (to an extent) and injects termiticide under pressure. Without that, your treatment may be very slow but that shouldn’t matter-it will just take you longer.
