Replaced Janitrol t-stat to a Hunter 44860 on a Goodman ARUF030 heatpump.

I've attempted to replace my t-stat using a Hunter 44860.

The a/c works fine but when I go to heat the unit does not turn on outside and I smell burning.

The original t-stat was a Janitrol with hookups as:
Y-Yellow
G-Green
R-Red
O-Orange
W2-White
E-Brown
C-Blue

The Hunter 44860 has hookups as:
RC/R-Red
C-Blue
Y1-Yellow
Y2-not used
W2-White
E-Brown
O-Orange
B-Not used
G-Green
L-not used

The hunter t-stat came w/ jumper hooked up to RH and the RC/R when I had the burning smell. I removed it and still the heat fan does not turn on. The setting for fan is on auto. Where did I go wrong? I'm not sure if I have a 1 or 2 stage I'm assuming 1 stage. Does it make a difference? The hunter T-stat say up to 2 stage. Does the yellow wire need to be changed or the red?

Thanks!

Problem solved, heat working, setting was not changed on t-stat and hooked jumper back to default setting and everything fine.

Looks like you got it.

Yeah you have to read and do the installer set up menu before you start up any t-stat.
