Question Aprilaire Humidifer on ProVision IAQ

Hi All,

I was searching the forums and couldn't come up with a good result, so I'd thought I would post it...

I just replaced a Honeywell PC8900 with a Honeywell ProVision IAQ. Pretty straightforward, but the IAQ is not recognizing the humidifier. It's an Aprilaire Model 560.

When I was moving the wiring - the humidifier was wired to the "C" port on the 8900, with another wire going to the lower of the two "HUM" ports. I imagine that the humidifier should draw power when the furnace fan is on, thus the set up.

Is the wiring identical on the IAQ? Right now, I have it wired to the HUM1 and HUM2 ports.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

For your unit, you need to add a jumper wire from one of the R's on the EIM down to HUM1.

Then one wire from the 560 to HUM2.

Other wire from 560 to C on EIM.

Humidifier

Did you go into the program and set up the humidifier mode? 0370, 0372, & 0374. It won't work without doing this.

Smile Thanks!

That did the trick. I moved the wires, added the jumper and adjusted the settings on the thermostat. The humidifier came on-line promptly!

Thanks again.

Glad to hear it's up and running.

Would you like me to go over your settings?
