Help wiring a thermostat!

That is the old thermostat, and I got the Honeywell RTH7500 to replace it.

so I wired

(old->new)

R->RC+R (jumped)
B->O/B
Y->Y
G->G
X->C
W2->Aux+E (jumped)

And for function 0170, I selected 7, and for 0190, I used 1.

The problem is that now no matter what mode it is (cool or heat), it would only work as a heater.

Even after switching function 0190's option back to 0, it does the same thing.

Now I placed the old thermostat back and it works like as it was before.

Please help?

PS: old thermostat model is Ruud 41-20804-16.

Everything is set up correct, did you make sure the wire was in place on the t-stat?

Also, do you have extra wire in the wall?

Yes, one orange wire and one black wire (presumably O and L).

As you can see in the first pic, it wasn't used for the old one, so I didn't use them on the new one as well.

There has to be something I missed somewhere...

No, you are not missing anything, I'd suggest adding a wire and remove the jumper wire between E and Aux.

But for kicks, i'd make sure the B wire was tight under the screw set.

do you have a meter?

FYI, I'm off ot bed.. I have to be up in he AM
