Question Settings for RTH7500D with Trane xr14 heat pump

I have a Trane XR14 Heat Pump with a Trane 4TEE3 variable speed airhandler.
My current Thermostat is a Honeywell TH5220D (installed by dealer)
Wanting to switch to RTH7500D
wires should be same-

OLD=
Brown- y2 or E
White- W2 or AUX
LtGreen- G or G
Orange- W or O/B
Blue- C or C
Yellow- Y or Y
Red- R or R
with jumper between R and RC
L has no wire

My question is the settings
Is there a way that i can get into the settings of the 5220 to see what they are?
My dealer said I have a 2 Stage heat 1 Stage cooling-
170=9 ??
180=1 ??
190= ?????? How do i know which changeover valve i have Cooling changeover=0 or heating changeover=1?

240=9 ?
270=9 ?

Also is it worth setbacking the temperature in winter with a heatpump? Does the energy used when Aux kicks in offset the savings?? I would think the energy used would still be less than heating all day long.
Does Aux always kick in when temperature is more than a few degrees off?
Well really just wanted to know settings especially for the changeover valve- guess the other questions should be in a different thread.
Thank you much!

Refer to the second labels. (E, Aux, O/B)

170 = 7
190 = 0
240 = 3 (5 might would also be a good option) 9 is very short cycles.
