I just installed a Honeywell rth2310b programmable thermostat and now it is blowing hot air instead of cold in the cool mode. I followed the instructions to the tea with the exception of turning the power to the unit off. When I turned on the cool mode (and after the warming up period) it starts to blow warm/hot air. I first tried to turn the heat on in case they were just backward some how and the real heat came on with the heater smell (the ac function doesn't have this smell just is hot). I went outside and the unit is cold and is exhausting cold air. I have turned the ac off for the night and am just using the fan mode in case we are frozen somewhere. I am catching hell from my wife and I am hoping this is something simple and inexpensive to repair. Any advice? Things to try?

I have just installed a Honeywell Prestige HD, and all is fine except that I need to change the setting on installer function 190, "Reversing valve". Should take me 1 minute, right? 2 hours later, I am posting here in desperation. How do I change this setting? In the installer menu there are lots of settings, but no numbers, and no setting called "Reversing valve". Supposedly you can update settings via USB - is that the only way to change this setting? I tried it, but there is nothing in the install guide about how to do it, and all the things I tried failed. All help greatly appreciated.
