need help to replace old WhiteRodgers stat with with honeywell RTH7600

I have an Enertran Geothermal water furnace (heat and air) which has 2 stage heat/1 stage cooling, with aux heat and emergency heat, and is currently controlled with a White Rodgers Type 1F58-28 thermostat.
I contacted Honeywell and they recommended that I use their stat model RTH7600, which I have since purchased.
However I am having difficulty in getting the wiring transferred to the new stat, the original stat is connected as below
Connections on stat.......wire color
R Red
G Green
Z Brown
X1 White
W2 Blue
Y Yellow
K Black
W1 Orange (or pink)

The connections at the terminal block on the furnace are
R Red (going to stat)
W1 Orange (or pink) (going to stat)
Y Yellow (going to stat)
G G (going to stat)
X1 White (2 wires connected 1 to stat, 1 to aux/emerg heat
W2 2 wires connected, blue to stat, black to aux/emerg heat
Z Brown (going to stat)
K Black (going to stat)

any help you could offer me to ensure I wire up my Honeywell unit correctly would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

I am not able to find anything on the old stat, I think that stat was made JUST for that HP system.

Z and K must be some type of fault code or something that I don't know for this system.

Why are you looking at changing this?

first, thanks Jay for responding to my problem

The main reason for changing the stat is the old one has a mercury switch in it, and you adjust the temp settings by sliding the small lever on the RH side of the stat and guess at what the setting is

I have a thermometer in the room to help me find 70'F, which is what I try to keep the temp. at through through the winter months

any helpyou can offer would be approeciated
thanks
Graham

Hi Jay

FYI the stat I have is very similar to the white rodgers stat 1F58-72, the wiring of which you can get on-line, if that's any help
regards

Some pics of your heat pump wiring diagram (inside of the panel or in the installers manual) might be of assistance.
That Enertran Geothermal site will not post any manuals.

That don't help me since it don't show the Z or K, so we still don't know what that suppose to be. As Houston said, we need more info.
