heat stops working sometimes

I have a rite temp thermostat, model 8029B. We just moved in this house in November and it seems like every couple of weeks my heat stops working. Sometimes you will hear the fan blow for a short period of time but it is cold air. Most times it doesn't come on at all. This goes on for about 4 days and then the heat starts working again. An HVAC professional came out and said he could find nothing wrong. We are at a loss what to do? I have tried resetting unit but that doesn't help. It just starts and stops working when it wants to.

t sat???

Have you chaged the batterys? My heat would not come on some mornings because the batterys were low. Even though the low batt light was not flashing. Try that and let us know.

what model furnace do you have? Most likely this is not a thermostat problem.
