Honeywell CT87N/CT87K thermostat question

I had to replace my old thermostat. This one was just like my old one, and looked easy enough to do myself. Once it was installed the heat worked fine. Now that it's warm, we went to use the a/c and it won't turn on. Any idea what I might have done wrong? I've studied the manual and it doesn't really address anything other than wiring it and turning it on.

Was the fan running when you tried to run the A/C?

Make sure the Y wire is in place.

Also, If was's only one "R" wire on the old stat, you will need a jumper between R and Rc.

Thank you for the response, Jay. No, I didn't have the fan on when I tried to run it. I keep it on auto so I didn't think to try that. I will do that, and then I'll pull the cover off and check the Y and R wires.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. When you call for "COOL" the fan should come on at the same time. But you can try the the fan "ON" mode too and let us know.
