greenhouse fan thermostat

I purchased a manual line voltage thermostat from ace hardware. Took it home and thought about what i had bought. It is for heating only, i need it for turning a fan on in greenhouse to cool the air. Is there a way i can use this thermostat by changing a couple wires on thermostat around to reverse its use?

No. Unless it is a thermostat that can do both, you need to buy the proper type thermostat. You need one that closes the contacts on temperature rise. The one you have opens on temperature rise. You will likely have to buy it at a supply house as they are not nearly as common as line voltage heating stats
