RTH7600 rewiring issues

I recently tried to install a Honeywell RTH7600 for our heat pump (Walhen Company VI-A-602-BO Water Source Heat Pump & AC) in our condo. The old analog thermostat had the wiring

Y - yellow
R - red
G - green
O - blue

Once we wired that up it seemed to work fine given we only had it on cool, now that we need heat we noticed somethings wrong. Our neighbor gets heat fine on the old analog thermostat, so it's on in the building.

When I unraveled the electrical tape from the mail wire bunch, I noticed there is also a white wire which was as long as the other wires wrapped around and also an orange, black, and brown wire which was cut (not previously used in the old thermostat).

Is it possible we wired it wrong despite the fact we put the same wires in the labels in the old and new? Or does this thermostat require the extra white or the other additional wire even though the old analog thermostat did not?

Haha, I didn't set the system settings right. Figured it out.
