Honeywell Thermostat

I have a Honeywell VisionPro TH8320U that has been installed for use on a Lennox Elite Series Furnace and Trane AC unit. The previous thermostat was just a turn dial thermostat that used 4 wires. (Red, White, Yellow, Green.) The new thermostat is hooked up and working for the most part. It will turn on for Heat, and Fan ON. I had to use an additional wire (Blue) that was connected to the red transformer wire that ran to furnace from electric panel box. This powered the thermostat. My question is in regards to when I tell the thermostat to turn on the AC, the thermostat looses power and then comes back on. You can hear the blower come on, but then thermostat goes to “Wait mode”. Any idea of what I may need to change to the wiring?

Thank you,

Bryan

Blue wire should be connected to C in thermostat and to C on control board in furnace.
