Nest Install with Arcoaire Furnace and Aprilaire

Hello,

I have installed the Nest v.2 to an Arcoaire GUA100A016-IN (1987) and would like to incorporate the Aprilaire 440 that is attached to the Arcoaire. Currently Y1, W1, and Rh is connected to the Nest. The Aprilaire has two wires that (there are 3 in the bundle but one is unused) lead to the humidistat. Do I need to install a relay? Also, how will I be able to control the humidity with the Nest? Let me know what additional info would be helpful, I do have the original manuals, etc and can take pictures as well.

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Is C hooked up to at the Nest?

One wire on * at the Nest, that will then lead to one of the wires on the humidifier, other wire on humidifier will go to C on the furnace.

Jay,

There is no C wire. Attached are the pictures. The bundle of wires from the humidifier has three wires, 2 of which I believe are hooked up. Would one of those be the C wire?

Airman,

Who makes the pro 8000?

Thanks again,

Joe

I took some pictures of the Aprilaire and Furnace. The pictures, in order, should start at the solenoid, and the split to the wire to the humidistat. Next, show the wire leading to the furnace. I appreciate all of the help and let me know if you need additional photos/info.

Those wires looks rough, and I would replace them if you can.

Thanks for the photo, but I can't tell where they all go to for sure.

The two wires for the humdistat is not a C wire one side is hot, then it goes back to the humidifier.

You will do the the wire from the transformer.
