Installing RTH6450D on Rudd UPNE-036JAZ

Hello,

I am trying to install a new programmable thermostat (Honeywell RTH6450D) to replace my existing non-programmable(Honeywell T8411R). The unit is a Rudd UPNE-036JAZ. Please see photo for current wiring. I am unsure where to put W1, W2, and E on the new thermostat.

Thank you.

First, read your manual, especially the advanced installation section

SHUT OFF THE FURNACE/AIR HANDLER POWER AT THE BREAKER
USE heat pump terminal designations

R = R
C = not used
G = G
W2 = AUX
E = E
B = O/B
W1 & Y = Y

The thermostat must be setup for HP WITH aux heat and O/B for use with heating.

1 = 5 ( heat pump with Aux heat)
2 = 1 (energize reversing valve for heating)

Thank you for the reply! I've read the manual, and pretty much had all of the connections figured out except for the W2 and E. There is only 1 slot for these...do I just put both wires in the same slot?
