Honeywell tstat reads higher temp then actual temp after having 3 zone sys intal

After having a jackson 3 zone system installed, our original honeywell chronotherm iv plus is reading a higher temperature than what the room temp is. Tested with a thermometer next to tstat. We have a climate master geothermal system(9years old). The other 2 thermostats that were installed ( also honeywell Pro 6000 I belive) appear to be working fine. Could this just be coincidence that the tstat is going bad at the same time as the instal or could something not be hooked up correclty? If the tstat is bad can I just buy a used one of the same model online and remove the faceplate and put the new one in its place?

Welcome to the forums.

How many degrees is it off ? It can be reset in the thermostat programming.

See page 9 in the instruction manual in the link below.

it is off by 5 degrees sometimes. I already adjusted it in the programming, thanks. It is still off quite a bit of the time. I did notice now that the temperature reading will sometimes go down a few degrees after the heating comes on instead of going up. Could something have been hooked up wrong to cause this? It worked fine up until the install of the zone system?
