Thermostat wiring question

I'm replacing the thermostat for my ceiling heat in the downstairs. I have a Lux TCH 15a. My question is which terminals do I hook the wires to? I have 1red & 1white wire coming from the junction box. The thermostat has a terminal block with G Y RC RH W. There is a jumper wire from RC to RH. The wiring diagram says W is gas valve or heater & RH is system xfmr (with jumper still on) can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Ceiling heat is typically high voltage, how big are the wires at the junction box? The thermostat you have is for low voltage.

They are tiny wires 18 or 20 gauge?

The jumper can remain on the two R terminals.

Red goes to Rc/Rh
White goes to W
