Smile Converting Honeywell Tstat to TH8320U1008 from T8411R

Hi,

I have Lennox Elite 13 Heat Pump with Emergeny Heat. Blower coild is CB31MV and the Air Handler manual say ECB29 and ECB31 and trying to replace old Honeywell thermostat #T8411R 1002(2) with new Honeywell thermostat #TH8320U1008.

Can someone please provide some guidance?

Thanks for your help!!

Current wiring;
letter ------ Color of wire
G --------- Green
C --------- Black
R --------- Red
W1 & Y ---- Yellow (jumpered)
L --------- Blue
W2 -------- White (ivory)
E --------- jumpered to W2
B --------- NONE
O --------- Orange

Also, they say it's bad to set night and day temps to far apart on heat pumps since emergency heat will be used..is this true? what temp difference would you suggest for summer and winter?

Thanks!!

Aux/E -------- White (ivory)
O/B --------- Orange

You must also configure the new stat for heat pump with Aux heat operation and verify that your O/B terminal is configured to be O (this is the factory setting for the O/B terminal)

Set function 170 to 7.
190 = 0

Looks like he manual attached was newer..

To clarify, I have looked at my outdoor heat pump and it says M/N HP26-030-12P
Compressor: PH 1, PLA 13.5, LRA 72.5
Fan Motor: PH 1, FLA 1.1, HP 1/6

The unit in my basement says M/N CB31MV-41-2P

This also has emergency heat, but don't see a plate for it.

Thanks.
