Ran the delta t on heat pump heat again today not sure if these readings will help you since outside temp was so warm.


Outside Temp :59 degrees

Before Fan speed change (1200 cfm high/ 780 cfm Lo)
Discharge:97 degrees Return: 72 degrees Delta: 25 degrees

10 minutes of fan running with no call for heat then sat 10 minutes

Change to new fan speed setting (1080 cfm high / 702 cfm lo)

Discharge: 106 degrees Return: 76 degrees Delta: 28 degrees

The heat delta Tee looks good.

The cooling delta Tee might be another story.

We are suppose to get some 70 degree days this week so I will run it then and get the readings

Outside Temp 71 degrees

Starting Discharge: 67 degrees Return 68 degrees
Ending Discharge 48 degrees Return 66 degrees Delta 18

I like 18 degree splits. Are you still set for 1200 CFM?

No I had already changed it before I ran the heating tests. It is set to A-C (1080 cfm high / 702 cfm lo)

Is that a bad thing?

1200 cfm could cause high humidity problems with a 2.5 ton outdoor unit.
You have the correct setting.
