Carrier Edge Thermostat Settings
I have a question about the settings for a Carrier Edge TP-PAC01 thermostat. I have time-of-day pricing for electricity, where the electricity price drops after 7PM. I set the AC temperature to 80 during the day, and to 76 degrees at 7PM so that the AC will turn on when the cost is lower. But I find that the AC turns on around 6:30PM, even though the room temp is below 80 degrees. It seems that the thermostat thinks I want to get the temp down to 76 degrees by 7PM, rather than starting at 7PM. Is this correct, and if so, how do I get the AC to start moving to 76 degrees at 7PM?

Turn off smart recovery to have the stat start cooling at the time you program cooling to start.
