Honeywell RTH8580WF and new Trane XC95 furnace

Hi There.
I own a Honeywell RTH8580WF Thermostat and am purchasing a Trane XC95 furnace to replace my old furnace. Will this thermostat be compatible with the XC95? I have had quotes from a couple of different contractors and one said yes and another said no.
Thanks for you help!

Welcome to the forums.

Are you getting a model with communicating capabilities ?
Multi stage heat ?
Multi stage cooling ?

XC95 doesn't give any particulars.

Sorry.
The XC95 is a communicating furnace with a modulating gas valve and variable speed fan. It will only only be used for heat.
Thanks for your reply and welcome.

Good choice on a quality furnace but if used in the communicating mode it won't communicate with the Honeywell thermostat.
