Lennox 36G7001 replacement with Honeywell RTH6450

I thought this would be easy! Not so easy after all.

I have a heat pump system and the connections are

R
V
F
M
Y
E (unused)
X

The Honeywell has RC R Y O/B G AUX/E L

By looking at a few online posts my best guess is

R to OB
V to R
F to G
M to Y
Y to AUX/E
E (unused)
X to AUX/E
Can anyone set me straight?

Thanks for your help!

You almost had it.
The old X is 24 volt common.
Your new stat does not use this wire, so you can tape it off .

Remember to turn off the breaker to the indoor unit (or package unit) before replacing the stat to avoid the risk of popping a fuse or cooking a transformer.
