fan wont shut off

installed a new honeywell CT 31 now the fan will not shut off rechecked the wiring all the colors match it is a Electric furnace even if i drop the temp to the lowest the fan just keeps running Anyone have any ideas really cannot afford a repair call

Honeywell has a help line. What was wrong with the old thermostat?

Did you remove the plastic shipping piece from the inside of the stat ?

Question about upgrading a Thermostat

Just bought an old boat and was wanting to upgrade the thermostat to a WiFi Thermo so that I could control it from away. The catch is I ran into a couple wires I am drawing a blank with on correct connection. The unit in the back is a Tempstar N4H336AKE100 and the old Thermostat is a PSG Surestat that I think is a model T30H. The wires on the current thermostat are as follows Terminal - Wire Color G - Green X - Brown C - Blue O - Orange R - Red W - White Y - Yellow I wanted to install a Honeywell RTH9580WF. Just wanted to make sure I connected correctly. The Honeywell has the following terminals: C K Rc R W-O/B Y G W2-Aux/E Y2 L The proper hookup of the white, Orange, and X-Brown wire are the ones throwing me off. Any pros out there have any suggestions or guidance? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Read More

Trane Furnace/Honeywell Thermostat; Thermostat has no C/B, furnace has no power

Hello. I've tried to do my research before asking this questions but it seems all posts are asking the reverse of what I'm about to ask. So...I have a Trane furnace that has two stage heating and my thermostat just pooped out. I bought a Honeywell to replace it. I am completely new to knowing anything about this stuff prior to running into this problem, but here's what I'm gathering: My old thermostat connections: B(Trane's version of a C, or common), W1(1st stage heating, W2(2nd stage heating) G(fan), and R(power). My new thermostat has all these corresponding connections, but [B]no C or B connection[/B]. The manual says to leave ignore the C/B wire and tape it off. I did so, but [B]I'm am NOT getting any power to the furnace[/B]. My common sense assumption would be that (with C or B acting like a ground to complete the electrical circuit), the current wiring setup isn't a completed circuit, therefore, no power. Am I missing something here? Our house is going on the market tomorrow (!!) and it's imperative we have heat working. [B]Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much![/B]Read More
