Need help with Honeywell stat

I have a Bryant mercury stat (part no. P271-3457). I want to replace it with Honeywell RTH6350. The interior unit of the heat pump has a silver sticker on the exterior face below the panel door:

There is also this paper sticker on the panel door:

Size: 46.1 KB

The exterior unit is a Bryant model#541DB048

There are 10 wires in the wall, although only 9 are connected.

The connections on the interior unit are as pictured:

The connections to the exterior are:

Thank you in advance for any assistance given.

ER

I would use a different thermostat.
You can put the W1 and W2 wires in the new Aux/E terminal, omit F and E.
Omit C if the new stat does not have C.
Connect orange to O/B.

Configure for heat pump with Aux heat.
Configure the O/B terminal to energize for cooling.

Thank you Houston. Is there a particular stat you would recommend to use?

The Honeywell Prestige IAQ would support all of those stages of heat.

You can use your new RTH6350 stat and omit E, gang up the W's and omit C. It would be a lower initial cost but may be less comfortable.

I am very intuitive about things, but this is outside my level of experience. Would not the RTH6350 function better if not the same as the old mercury stat with respect to all the heat stages? What are the stages and why would they make more comfortable the heating?

The old stat would provide better control of your 3 electric heat elements and compressor than the RTH6350.
