Hi!
I want to replace the existing thermostat with a new one that offers the ability to create schedules. Here's info about my setup:

Old thermostat: Totaline P474-0140
New thermostat: Honeywell RTH9580
Unit: Carrier FB4ANF024
Wires: 8 of which 6 are connected to the old thermostat and the other 2 are not connected at all on both ends

I tried connecting the new thermostat according to the instructions that came with it but it would only allow me to turn the fan on or off. When I tried to turn on the heat nothing happened. So I reconnected the old thermostat and that works. Can someone help me with getting the new thermostat running? Let me know if more information or pictures would be needed and I'll provide them. TIA

W2 = AUX/E
Y = Y
O = W-O/B
G = G

You must also configure the new thermostat for heat pump with Aux heat.
Energize the reversing valve for cooling.
