Looking for your Ecobee 4 setup parameters
What are you using for a cooling setpoint deadband? I'm currently at 2 degrees.
Are you shutting cooling down at the satisfied setpoint or are you overcooling by a half or a degree?
Can you adjust the home away setpoint so it doesn't drift as much? Mine drifted 9 degrees in home away which seems a lot.

Hmmmmmm......are you asking us or telling us ?
In setup..... under "installation settings" you can change those parameters.
Are you sure the system just couldn't keep up with the demand ?
It's not likely to be 9 degrees off.

Of course I’m asking.... just throwing my settings out there to hopefully compare to yours. I’ve been into these settings obviously, just not sure if they’re exactly what I need.
It satisfies and shuts down but it seems to cycle more than I’d think. It’s hard to say being that I’ve never had a means to trend these statuses before. Maybe over cooling a half or a degree would prolong cycling??
As far as the home away, I misspoke a bit. My setting was 74, it drifted to 79 which is 5 degrees not 9.

If you want the A/C to cycle less...... the temperature swing has to vary more.
If you want the temperature differential to be small..... the cycles per hour have no choice but to go up.
You can set the cycles per hour on the stat. It monitors how long recovery takes and it will widen the differential to suite that requirement. Heat loss in the house contributes to how fast the system cycles too.
