Cant get compresor to turn on. no cold air.
hello guys im trying to set up my new ac using the honeywell lyric t5 but it wont blow cold air. Its being hooked up to a heatpump system.
its a klimaire ac, i followed all the instructions but it does not seem to work.
this is the wiring diagram in the manuel

Welcome to the forums.
The wiring diagram colors don't really help.
We need to see a picture of the wiring on your old stat.
You need to make sure the B wire ends up on the O/B terminal and your set the stat for B operation.

Then we need to know what colors you have at the stat.
We may also need to see their connections at the air handler.

At your air handler...... W1 (white) is primary electric heat. W2 (white/black) would be a second stage..... if it has it. You need to determine if your unit has two stages of electric heat.
Either way.....move white wire to AUX (W2).
Leave brown in E and cap off orange
Confirming blue is in the O/B location. ?
I can't tell from the info I can find whether this requires O or B operation. I'm not familiar with that brand of equipment. Setting it correctly will give you cooling in the A/C mode. The wrong position will give you heat in the cooling mode.
Either way.....move white wire to AUX (W2).

ok thanks ima try that. the air handler does have a white/black wire. the diagram says to hook the w1 from the air handler to the w2 on the thermostat and and to connect the w2 on the air handler to E on the thermostat
and im pritty shure its on the B ... all the wiring diagrams and even the outside unit is labled B
