Honeywell PRO2000 thermostat: wiring question

Hi there,

I have a thermostat controls both heat ( with hot water system) and the AC in my apartment and is connected to a heat pump. Unfortunately it recently died and the model is discontinued so I am trying to figure out what replacement model I need.

Model name: TH2110D1009 ( This is not a 1009/U SKU).

The current wiring of the dead thermostat look like this:

Now if you look at the installation manual ( link here ) you see the wiring options on page 3 that looks like this:

I believe the unit is wired similar to the last schematic. However, that is not the model I have. For 1H1C with heat pump, my unit should have been wired similar to the second schematic but it is clearly missing connection (3 )- shorting Y and W (circled in the above image).

I need your help to understand what I need and how to wire the replacement.

Thank you for your time and help.

Interesting. It looks like they aren't even using the heat pump to supply heat..... just the hot water.
Do you know if the heat pump was running in the winter ?
