Finding C: similar issue using nest adapter

I was trying to copy the wiring from this forum thread for my best thermostat but and struggling to get it right as well as I am unsure where to wire in the power adapter for my second thermostat, any advice? I have a schematic of how I currently have it wired below.

thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

You had the Z2 stat connections mislabeled.
This diagram is what you need to follow.......

Just to explain.... I changed your Z2 labeling strictly based on actual connection.... not wire color.
The W on the stat must go to the single yellow ZV wire.
The R on the stat must go to the transformer.
When you only have two wires...... the colors make no difference. When you add a third wire.... C.... the C is referenced directly to R.

Thank you so much! Wired it up as you have it and am no longer getting the power error codes! However the boiler is still not kicking on whenever the thermostats are set to heat, any ideas on how to resolve that?

The two red wires coming out of the zone valve close/short when the valve is actuated.
That is what starts the boiler/pump.

If you short the red wires and have no activity... you need to check at the boiler end.

It was shorting at the two red wires, so since itís at the boiler, what should I be checking there?

There should be an aquastat on the boiler with a set of TT contacts where those red wires would connect.
You can post the model number of the aquastat or a picture for further help.
How to insert pictures.

Here is a picture of the aqua stat diagram, wiring and boiler as a whole.

Tv - red and black.
T - yellow and green.

This four wire cable must splice to the red wires that are on the zone valves.
A short across Tv and T should activate the relay in that box.
The circulator should start and the burner will run as needed.

Thank you so much for all your help! Doing that did activate the relay and start the boiler but after I release the short it turns back off, any idea on how to resolve that?

Update: rewired the thermostat hook ups from the same diagram you drew above and got it to work, but I am getting the power error at both thermostats again so I may try to factory reset them to see if it works

You have two zone valves. Are they operating with the thermostats ?
When either valve is open....the red wires get shorted and the circulator should start.
You can open the valve manually with the bypass lever to see if the wiring is ok.
