toilet flushes automatically

I have a toilet that will flush, just a little bit, about every 5-10 minutes or so. Any suggestions?

Hello, either your fill valve is not shutting off all the way and allowing water to run down the overflow or your flapper is not sealing properly and should be changed. if it is flushing by itself then there is a leak somewhere.

Take the lid off your tank and put a pencil mark at the water line. Shut off the water supply and let it sit for a half hour or so. If the water line is below the pencil mark your leak is at the flush valve/flapper (the center of the tank). If the water line is still at the pencil mark, the leak is at the refill valve (the left side of the tank).

Replace as needed
