Hello: bhk

There is a drain line out of the disposal going into the drain pipe. Chances are that line out of the disposal is clogged. It will have to be removed. Have a pan or small bucket under the line when it is removed. Water will pour out.

The line it feeds or ties into is either clogged, the part removed is clogged or the line to the sewage line is plugged. Make have to snake the line clear.

The tool you mention is likely that which is used to clear or loosen stuck disposal blades. Not needed if the blades can be rotated by hand.

Let me guess.....Two plungers, a pair of vise grips and $40.00 and the guy was out the door in ten minutes!

Let me know if the problem is still there, or the plumber didn't show up...maybe a easy fix, without having to take anything apart.

BTW, plumbers here are $60/hr; electricians $72/hr.

thanks for your help..

Good to hear the clog has been taken care of and the bill was paid.

I really don't know how much a plumber would cost here. I usually will repair what I can. If I can't repair it, by the time I'm done with it, it has to be replaced!!
