I have a Moen shower valve that will not shut off. It was probably installed in the mid 1960s. I tried fixing it myself without success. Here are links to four photos I took of it since there is no model number anywhere.

Any advice I receive will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

When I flush the toilet, there's no water at all coming out of the bowl, hence no swirling motion. All the water from the tank leaves via the hole at the bottom of the bowl, simply pushing everything out. It's an older toilet, washdown model, I suppose. Of course, I sometimes need to flush 2 or 3 times to get everything out.
The water stopped coming out of the bowl all of a sudden. Am I right to guess that there's probably a piece of the old, decomposing flapper that has since been replaced blocking the water from getting to the bowl? If so, how do I get around to fix it?
Thanks.
