Hello, A friend called me up with a toilet problem I haven't run into before She says her bowl empties out completly after a few days of not being used When she noticed it happening a few weeks ago (I'm guessing a spare bathroom), she looked all over for a leak or water damge and found nothing She then turned the water off at the shutoff valve anyway I'm going to pop over there tommorrow to check it out She said it flushes badly and wants to replace the float/valve etc. but would bad/mal-adjusted floats/valves make the bowl empty? Any ideas, info, or heads-up would be appreciated Thanks in advance

I need to replace the tub but im wondering what problems I'm likley to run into when removing the spud (I think the drain is called the spud ) its a steel tub probably 25+ years old I have looked in several plumbing books and only seen brief mentions Is it likley to be a problem ? any hints or suggestions aprectiated
