:) Hello, My toilet(s) will not stop running. When I remove the hose from the valve a tiny bit of water continues to flow. THe only time I can stop the flow is if there is no water in the tank and I lift the float while its filling. I just learned from my husband that a friend of his who is a plumber replaced both valves in both toilets and neither of them are working properly. They will not stop running. Tube is not below water level. Toilets are not leaking. Adjusting the float does not help. What should I do? Thank you Amy

Recently the landlord replaced installed a fluidmaster 400A, (and took the box and instructions with him) since then the toilet has been running. I went to Home Depot and bought a new flapper, and that has not helped. The tank fills and goes into overflow. The man at Home Depot showed me how to raise and lower the float, and lock it into place, but this is not working either. I don't think that I have it adjusted correctly. Not sure how high it should be. Should the very top of the fluidmaster be at the waterline line? I have tried pinching the clip as instructed in another thread and still the water climbs, and I get can't get it to stop running. I have adjusted the chain too. Is there any hope? Karen
