DrainCare and Main Sewer line....

I own a 2.5 story 6-unit apartment building. Once in a while, the kitchen sink in the basement apartment would backup and overflow if someone from a top apartment is using their plumbing. I wanna try using an enzyme-based cleaner to clean out the main line.

Would it be best if i add the cleaner to the kitchen sink.... or can i add it to the floor drain and/or laundry tub in the basement since it seems it is closer to the main line?? Thanks!

Personally, I would go for the sink drain so you are covering anything that could be the problem in that fixture. You could treat both. Remember, Drain Care takes overnight to work but I think you will be happy with the results. Good luck.
