No water comes out of cold water faucet
#1

This evening, all of a sudden, there is no water coming out of the cold water faucet in the 1/2 bath.
I'm not having a problem in the kitchen or the full bath, and the hot water faucet works in all 3 rooms. Any ideas?
Thank you!

Welcome to the DIY Forums.
It sounds like you may have debris in your cold water supply line and its keeping the water from flowing. Turn the cold water supply valve(under the sink on the cold water line) off and disconnect the line coming off the top of the valve. Have a towel or container ready as it may be full of water. Hold the towel over the valve and turn the water on and off rapidly 2 or 3 times. This will flush any debris out of the valve. Reconnect the water line and see if you then have water flowing when the tap is turned on.
Good luck and post back.

Hello, thank you for replying so quickly.
I just turned the cold water valve off. There is a thin hard pipe going from the valve up to the faucet. I undid the nut closest to the valve. Was the pipe then supposed to disconnect from the valve & nut? Was I supposed to be able to pull the pipe off from the nut so that the end of the pipe was exposed? That never happened, so the valve still has the pipe going into it even though I loosened the nut all the way. As you can see, I'm fairly clueless about DIY. Can you direct me further?
Thanks!

It appears that you have solid lines rather than the flexible lines that are more common these days. you may be able to push the valve down slightly to remove it from the tubing.Don't push too much on the soft line as it kinks easily. You should only need to push the supply valve down about 3/8th of an inch to seperate it from the valve. Then you can GENTLY push the other line off to the side SLIGHTLY to complete the line flush.

Sorry it didn't work. The line can be removed but it does take a SPECIAL wrench to reach up under the sink(basin wrench). Your plumber will have one and shouldn't tale more than 10 min to flush. While hes under there I would have him install FLEX supply lines to make it easier for you to do this yourself should it ever happen again.
Good luck and post back with any questions you may have on this or future projects.
