shutting water off/leaky shower faucet

I live in a two-story triplex and have water leaking out of the faucet of my shower/tub. I believe it is coming out of the cold water faucet, probably due to a washer being bad. My landlord attempted to fix this a few months ago, and it worked for a short time, but since then has started leaking again and getting worse. My landlord is gone for a few weeks and I really hate seeing all this water wasted. The problem I have is that I can not access the water shut-off valve. I can turn of the water to bathroom and kitchen sinks and to the toilet, but not to the shower. Is there any way to at least temporarily fix this leak without turning off the water?

Nope you have to shut water off, you will have to wait till landlord returns.
