pluged shower drain

the drain on my shower is pluged probably due to my wife washing my german sheperd in there. I tryed some chemical drain cleaner with no luck. so i went and got a small snake and im trying to go through the over flow . i can only get aprx. 2 ft of it in until i hit some thing that shure sounds like metal. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bend the very end of the cable slightly 2" back..........then try spinning the cable in reverse while pushing into the drain.

Also, try jabbing it in with a soft touch while the cable is not in motion.

Have to romance drains like what you have; if water passes through it, most times a small cable will also.
