Faucet won't turn off
I have a two handle kitchen faucet that won't turn off on the hot water side, the handle goes past the turn off point and water keeps running.

searels, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
You will probably have to replace a washer in the stem.
To do this, turn off the supply valve under the sink (close hot and cold for safety). Remove any cap that may be on the top of the handle (usually plastic and pops off with a screwdriver) Remove the screw in the handle and then pull the handle off. This may not be easy if it is older and you may have to pry up to remove it. Once removed you should see a nut around the stem. Remove it and unscrew the stem. Look at the bottom of the stem. There should be a washer there that is torn or worn. Remove the screw that holds it in and replace with new washer. Reverse the process for reinstallation. You may want to replace both hot and cold as long as you have it apart. Good luck and reply back with any other questions.
