Leaky Shower Head

Hello, when we left home for the holidays we decided to leave our faucets dripping because of severe cold weather to keep our pipes from freezing. When we returned home we discovered that our shower will not shut off as it had before, instead it continuously has the slow stream as we had left it. How do I get this to stop????? I removed the shower head but don't believe it was the problem because it continued to run. The faucet has the one dial that turns in a circular motion to adjust the temperature.

Install a new cartridge in the valve, should solve this problem.

Product Number???

This is a Moen shower faucet, and I can't seem to find the product number anywhere on the faucet. Is there a place where the product number is stamped? The metal plate behind the handle has 'tanadyn' stamped on it. I would like to know this so I can purchase the correct cartridge and so that I can get the product info from the company website to see how to install the cartridge. Thanks.

Got it done guys, Thanks! Found the right part after talking to someone at Moen, then found the diagram to replace the part. Took 10 minutes and that included the trips to the basement to turn on/off the water.

Moen Single Handle Tub/Shower Faucet

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove a Moen "Dialcet" single handle tub/shower faucet without the special cartridge tool? I've got the plastic handle off but I can't get my needlenose pliers or screwdriver in there to remove the clip and I don't want to damage it because I'm not replacing it (hopefully), just repairing a leak behind it. If I need a Moen cartridge remover tool, is there a special one just for tub/shower faucets or is it the same one as used in sink faucet removal? Thanks A.

Tub refinishing question.

I'm thinking about refinishing a pink tub with a kit I bought at Lowe's. I think its called Tough as Tile. You put one can in the fridge and submerse the other in hot water, then mix them together and spray it on. Has anyone tried this? I don't want to have to replace the tub right now, so if it might ruin it and doesn't look good, I'll just leave it pink for the time being. :(
