2 clogged kitchen sinks...

Something is wrong with my kitchen sink.

Never had any probles until 2 days ago my wife noticed that the 2nd sink starts to fill up with water when you turn the disposal on. I tried to plunge both sides to no avail.

After you turn the disposal off. water slowly drains on the 2nd side into the disposal side.

Basically, if I plinge one side, the water comes up the other.

Any suggestions appreciated.

A double sink has a connected drain assembly, and you have to plug one side with something in order to plunge it successfully.
Another alternative (without taking the drain apart), is to use a good enzyme-based drain cleaner like DrainCare.
Just follow the directions on the jug.
Good luck!
