Wanting to install off-sized tub surround...
#1

Our bathtub is 39" x 39". It is in a corner of the bathroom. Back wall//faucet side wall//no 3rd wall. All of the surrounds I have seen have been either 3 or 5 piece (back wall, two side walls). Also, the surrounds I have found have been for standard sized bathtubs.
Can I cut the back piece down to a size that would connect it to my wall with the faucets on it and not use the other side wall piece to the surround?
I'm just trying to think of a way to use a surround instead of tile, etc. as I want to put up a surround with shelves attached. Thankyou for any help, recommendations, store sites...whatever!

The best suggestion in your case would be to use a flat wall-type surround that can be cut to fit, along with separate console shelving that is designed to be adhered to flat surfaces in the application you have.
The flat wall surrounds are realtively cheap too.
