New facet won't shut off!
I put in a new Delta double handle facet and both handles won't shut the water off regardless of where I turn the handles. How do I make it work?
Thanks, Sharyl

Sounds like dirt in the faucet from when you turn the isolation valves back on under the sink.
You will have to remove the aerator, then twist the handles back and forth to see if the dirt will escape the faucet.
Then, shut off the valves down below, remove the handles and pull the stems out; this will expose where the dirt is, and you can use the isolation valves below to slightly turn the water on to blast the dirt out. Reassemble using plumber's grease on the O-rings and the fine threads/moving parts.

There was a little bit of dirt from the aerator but not much. The stems are clean as the whole facet is new. I checked them anyway but there are good. The last faucet I put in did a similar thing but all I did was adjust the screws on top o the handles. Unfortunately, that is not doing anything this time. What else should I try.

What brand of faucet is this?
And did you shut the water off to the entire home and remove the stems to see what the problem is?
Being a new faucet doesn't disallow the fact that it can be clogged. Very common during installation of replacement faucets when dirt/debri is disturbed and lodges into the small orifices inside the faucet.
Backwashing could help in your situation.

Ok, the plumber came and here was the problem with the faucets. The cold water handle wasn't on quite right and the hot water handle is broken not the whole faucet so I only needed to replace the hot water handle, geez.
Now, I am waiting for the replacement handles and will be all done, I hope and with hot a cold running water with no DRIPS! I do hope this helps other's of you.
